Deteriorated mortar, cracked brick and open masonry joints can allow water into a building envelope and accelerate exterior damage. Ace General Contracting provides brick pointing, masonry repair and exterior restoration for residential, multifamily and commercial properties.

Mortar joints protect the edges of masonry units and help shed water from the wall. Missing, powdery, cracked or recessed mortar can be a sign that repointing is needed. We inspect the affected area, remove loose or deteriorated material as required, prepare the joints and install new mortar appropriate to the repair scope.
Exterior masonry problems often overlap with roof and waterproofing issues. Cracked parapets, failed coping joints, deteriorated pointing and roof-to-wall transitions can contribute to water entry. Because Ace also handles roofing and waterproofing, we can evaluate related exterior conditions rather than treating each symptom in isolation.
We work with homeowners, building owners, property managers, co-ops, condos and commercial clients throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Westchester County. Larger façade projects can also be coordinated with architects and engineers where required. Learn more about our Local Law 11 / FISP façade work and masonry and façade restoration.
